Changes in that signature often reveal the early stages of wear, imbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, looseness, gear problems, or other developing faults.

Data Acquisition

Specialized sensors, most commonly accelerometers, measure vibration from machine locations of interest.

Signal Analysis

Time-domain, frequency-domain, envelope, and trend features are analyzed to identify patterns and anomalies.
